Lauren Burgess, M.A., NCC

Pottstown, PA

Lauren earned her Bachelor of Arts in Clinical Psychology, followed by her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, both at Messiah University. She is a clinical mental health counselor working towards her licensure. She brings previous experience as a social worker supporting children and adolescents discovering their authentic selves, as well as working with individuals across the lifespan in various mental health settings.

She believes that individuals of all ages deserve to experience peace and wholeness. She desires for clients to feel safe, heard, and known, so that healing can take place. She is passionate about coming alongside individuals in the midst of their pain, and assisting them, with compassion, in their unique journeys towards renewed freedom.

Because each individual has their own unique journey, Lauren seeks to provide treatment that values a nonjudgemental, strengths-based perspective. She utilizes an integrated approach for treatment that is trauma-informed, and draws from CBT, ACT, and mindfulness practices.

Lauren has worked with children, adolescents, and adults struggling with depression, anxiety, grief and loss, ADHD, relationship conflict, life stress, trauma, and faith-based concerns and exploration.
